Dr. LaTisha Bader graduated from the University of North Texas in 2007 and completed her postdoctoral fellowship in Chemical Dependency at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. She is a licensed psychologist and licensed addiction counselor and has specialized training in sports psychology. At CeDAR, she manages the Professional’s Program, the Ascent track for elite athletes, and she compliments the multi-disciplinary team of professionals that provide individualized care for patients. She brings years of experience working in the field of addiction, specifically with professionals, executives, and athletes. She also serves as Senior Clinical Instructor for the University of Colorado Hospital Department of Psychiatry.
Dr. Harlan Austin received his Master of Arts in counseling from New Mexico State University and his Doctorate of Philosophy in counseling psychology at the University of North Texas. He has specialty training in multiple areas including: addiction treatment, performance psychology, and psychological assessment. Dr. Austin has lectured at national conventions on sport psychology and addiction. He compliments the multidisciplinary team at CeDAR by providing psychological testing for patients, and uses CBT and Mindfulness based approaches in his therapeutic work. Dr. Austin provides clinical supervision for staff and trainees at CeDAR, he also serves as an Instructor for the University of Colorado School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry.
Nick Edwards is an Exercise Physiologist by trade and has built multiple programs for a wide range of patients that are currently running in multiple sites across the state and the nation. In his career he has worked with 6 professional sports teams/organizations, 8 Men's and Women's Division I NCAA Teams, 5 Division I national tournament level teams, 4 conference champion teams and 5 podium Olympians. Mr. Edwards himself was also a collegiate and professional athlete. Beyond athletics, Mr. Edwards has worked in both the private sector and clinical settings to design exercise programs that can be brought to the market and expanded to fit various demographics. He specializes in exercise prescription and anaerobic performance- but is also educated in dietetics, sports medicine and business. His philosophy lies in complete individualization of all exercise protocols and focuses on each person's unique metabolism, movements and motivation.
Casey Shivers started her journey as a college athlete (basketball) and has been in the health sciences field professionally for over 9 years. She is CeDAR’s Exercise Physiologist and nutrition consultant.
