Adam received his Master of Divinity from Naropa University and first became acquainted with CeDAR when he worked as a chaplain resident in 2007, as part of his residency at the University of Colorado Hospital. Since that time he worked at another addiction treatment center and as a hospice chaplain before returning to CeDAR. In addition to his chaplaincy training, he has extensive mindfulness meditation experience through the monastic style Buddhist training he underwent at a number of Zen Centers, and he is a certified meditation instructor in the Shambhala Buddhist tradition. He received a lay ordination through the Zen Peacemaker Order of Zen Buddhism. Adam is currently completing a second master’s degree in Mindfulness-Based Transpersonal Counseling Psychology at Naropa University.
