Trese has been working in the Mental Health Nursing field for over 25 years. She graduated from the Carlow University Nursing Program Pittsburgh Pennsylvania in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Upon graduation, she received recognition for Leadership in Nursing as determined by the Nursing Professors of the Program. Trese enlisted in the United States Army and was on active duty for 5 years. During this time, she studied an Army-sponsored Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing Program and received her certification. Over the years that followed, Trese has worked in many different settings in Mental Health Nursing from acute inpatient settings to emergency departments. She began work at CeDAR when its doors opened in 2005 as a staff nurse. Trese has been certified as an Addictions Registered Nurse since 2010 through the International Nurses Society on Addictions.
