From 2003 to 2014 the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) found that only 30% of women who reported a substance use disorder were admitted to an addiction treatment facility. So, for every 10 women suffering addiction, only three of them actually made it into rehab. This is in contrast to men reporting substance use disorder, who get into treatment eight out of 10 times.
