Ashley (she/her/hers) earned her Master’s of Social Work from the University of Denver and also received her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Communication Studies. She is also pursuing her CAC III and her certification as an EMDR practitioner. Previous to her transition to CeDAR, Ashley was fortunate to work in a variety of different settings, including child welfare, animal welfare, private practice, and an LGBTQ+ youth drop-in center. She is passionate about providing compassionate care to adults, their partners, and families through a strengths-based, empowerment-focused approach to whole-self healing and wellness, and draws from a variety of modalities in her therapy practice, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), trauma therapy, and mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR), and animal-assisted therapy. Ashley is excited to have the opportunity to work with the clients and staff at CeDAR, and is honored to bring her knowledge and experience to enhance the patient’s experience during their recovery. To recharge, Ashley enjoys hiking, photography, playing video games, and spending time with her two dogs (Lilah and Penelope Patches).
