Kasey previously worked with Denver Children’s home providing intensive therapy to high-risk youth and families. She used intensive/brief therapeutic interventions to help children and their families to resolve crisis and gain skills that support improved communication and healthy behaviors.
Prior to her work with Denver Children’s Home, Kasey worked at University of Colorado’s Psychiatric Outpatient Unit. While there, she provided weekly individual and group therapy to adults struggling with depression, anxiety, personality disorders, and psychotic disorders. She used a variety of treatment modalities including psychodynamic psychotherapy, mindfulness-based therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy.
Prior to her work at UC Health Psychiatric Outpatient, Kasey worked at Kaiser Permanente on a multidisciplinary chronic pain team. Kasey worked with clients on an individual basis as well as in weekly groups where she provided psycho-education and skills training to help clients better manage their chronic pain and mental health care needs.
A native of Colorado, she enjoys hiking with her dogs, snowboarding, wakeboarding, reading, and going to concerts.
