JUNE 8, 2020 – CeDAR has a strict COVID-19 Pre-Screening Protocol for all Inpatient Addiction Treatment Programs. We ask a series of questions about:
Based on the answers to these questions, CeDAR Clinical Staff will determine if someone is safe to begin the admissions process for inpatient treatment. This includes taking a temperature prior to entry into our secure campus. If a fever is detected, we cannot allow entry into the secure area.
The first 14 days of inpatient treatment requires all patients to be in a private room within CeDAR’s Assessment Detox Unit. Each patient will take part in Inpatient Teleheath Addiction Treatment programming with on-site support from Clinician, Counselor and Specialist staff.
After 14 days of monitored safety without symptoms, patients will continue staff-supported Telehealth programming (expanded to include Peer staff) in the secure Inpatient Residential environment. Safe distancing is required in all facilities, and masks are worn by all CeDAR staff.
If during inpatient treatment a person shows symptoms, we will immediately test for COVID-19/coronoavirus. We will isolate the symptomatic person until the test results are available. Continuation of treatment will be based on test results and symptoms.
As of June 8, 2020 we have not had anyone test positive for COVID-19/coronavirus.
